Nick Garcia - Stereosoul EP - Out NOW
Making his debut on Night Vision this month is the multi-talented DJ, producer and audiophile Nick Garcia. Garcia credits his current brand of frenetic house music to a combination of his early beginnings in the discerning Boston scene and his experience as assistant engineer and studio tech for the legendary Sharam. His productions are steeped in the traditions of house and techno, while also blending modern day mixing and synthesis techniques to create colourful explorations of sonic movement. On Stereosoul, Garcia explores our relationship with the analog and digital worlds:
“Stereosoul is the representative dilemma we as analog creatures face in an increasingly digital environment. Disconnected and connected by virtual means, we struggle to accommodate realities that are inherently unnatural. The opposing sounds and ideas on Stereosoul are representative of the contrast between peace and harshness one finds when immersing oneself in non-corporeal conditions. Floods of information contrast accessibility and connection.”
